Missing Bluetooth Adapter on Dell Inspiron 5593

One of our clients has a Dell Inspiron 5593 with a 10th-gen Intel processor, and the Bluetooth stops working every once in a while. This might happen on other Dell PCs and other devices that use Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I noticed that Google Search isn’t pointing people in the right direction, so I’m documenting it here to get the word out.

How We Fixed It

The PC’s Bluetooth device wasn’t recognized after a Windows Update. There has been no driver update, not since 2020. In Device Manager, under “Universal Serial Bus” uninstall the Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). It has an icon with an exclamation point in a yellow triangle. Right-click > uninstall. Shutdown the PC for 5 minutes while the power adapter is unplugged. Boot up and it should be working.

Hopefully what worked for us will work for you. God bless and take care!
