Our Mission

Our mission is simple. It is to make having a website easy, simple and affordable. We desire to solve problems people have with their websites. We strive to meet the needs and use cases of our clients. We want to make websites our moms could use. We are committed to making our clients' websites successful and strive to give excellent customer service.

Our History

Techiniku was founded by Chris Aliipule and Jon Tsujimura in 2009. Chris has been involved with web technology for years and Techiniku is not his first startup. Jon was busy with MBA school so he left in 2010 and was replaced by Machiko Aliipule who manages Techiniku's finances. Chris manages our technologies and is training people that may become creative designers and developers.

We don't design every website that we produce. Some organizations already have a preferred designer and we love working with new people. We'll work with your designer to come up with a design, develop a template, then plug it into our system.

We also have a relationship with some freelance designers that might catch your eye. We plan to have a listing of freelance designers and their work that you can pick from.

Also, if you don't need a custom design you could google for a design/template that works for you. Some designs/templates are incomplete which will require us to do some work at our standard rate.

Technology

We tend to use open source technology because open source software works great and doesn't break the bank. We try to run a tight ship and pass those savings on to our customers. We use traditional commercial software from Adobe, Microsoft, Apple and others where it makes sense. Here's a short list of the open source software that we use:
